Cinder floated silently, making her peace. Below, the dying planet of Mobius clung to its last legs, the nearby sun a dim red.

"...I had hoped this day would never come." She finally says. She was a blood red echidna, wearing garments reminiscent of Egyptian pharaohs, though tailored with more loose fitting fabric to cover her… well, bountiful physique. Though she was toned and muscular, she was definitely rocking a milfy vibe with her F cup breasts and thick birthing hips.

To her left is a magenta hedgehog with messy hair. She wears a maroon dress, with markings and such, not nearly as endowed as her counterpart. She also has a staff in her hand, a black sphere on the top. The girl nods sadly. "Mm. A true shame… we lived so long here… not even Luna could save it."

Cinder bows her head, saying one last farewell prayer before lifting her head. "Check one more time to be sure, Looru. No more people?"

The attendant, Looru, raises her staff and peers into the sphere, aiming it at the planet and scanning it. "...No. the last recorded person alive was several years ago. Mobius is barren."

"Then call Ai. Tell him I'm releasing his drones. New Mobius can finally be constructed." Cinder reaches into her bountiful cleavage, pulling out a small sack.

"Hm, very well." Looru nods at the sphere on which her staff glows. "Ai, Mobius is being converted now. You can begin making New Mobius."

"Affirmative." Says a voice on the other side. "Awaiting data transfer."

Cinder nods, untying the bag before flying down to the planet's surface within seconds. She drops the bag, and out crawls several silver buglike robotic drones. They start scanning around, everywhere their scanners go being disintegrated, converted into data and stored. These Digital Matter Converters, or DMCs for short, allowed materials to be converted into data and transferred elsewhere. Since the planet was destined to fall apart, it made sense to simply take the components and move them elsewhere, to be made anew.

Cinder floats back up next to Looru. "I'm glad Luna provided these… it makes my job as Goddess of Destruction much easier."

Looru nods softly. "Plus it means you don't need to blow up planets."

"It's still sad though… seeing Mobius like this. It still feels like yesterday, when we were living in a mansion, raising our kids…" Cinder reminisces.

Looru gives a sad smile. "Hm. But now they're grown up, with their own lineage… I wonder if they tell their grandchildren about us…"

They two rest against each other, content with each other as the planet below slowly vanishes from view. Once done, Cinder collects the DMC drones and puts them back in the sack, storing them once more in her cleavage. "...Well. That was the last duty I wanted to perform myself."

Looru smiles softly. "Then it's finally time."

"I guess it is… I never expected to make it this far." Cinder floats to Looru, hugging her softly.

Looru hugs Cinder back, blushing softly from the hug before initiating a kiss. Cinder smiles, returning the kiss as they enjoy the moment.

Their moment is interrupted with the flashing of the sphere on Looru's staff, breaking their kiss as Looru focuses on it. "That's my replacement calling…" she answers it. "Hello, we just finished our task."

The person on the other side nods. "Then we will take over. Cinder's godly powers will fade by the end of the day, as will your angelic power. You two will be returned to mortals, and be allowed to pass on. If there is anything you would like to do with your last few hours as deities… now is the time."

Looru nods. "Hm. Thank you." She hangs up and turns to Cinder. "We should say goodbye to everyone."

Cinder nods softly, as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. As mortals, they could at last be judged upon death. She only hoped her time served as Goddess of Destruction was penance enough for her sins. She solemnly places her hand on Looru's shoulder. "Let's go."

In a flash of light, they shoot across the universe faster than light itself, soon landing on a moon of a planet. They walk into a space station, where they're scanned before being warped down to the planet below.

The planet is beautiful and lush, a sort of paradise planet.

"Every time I come to Eden, I swear it gets more beautiful." Cinder smiles softly.

"Yeah…" Looru agrees softly. "...We should go find Luna."

Cinder nods, taking Looru’s hand gently and starting to walk.

Looru smiles softly, squeezing Cinder’s hand. “It’s been a while since we walked anywhere.”

“True… flying around is fun, but walking has its charms.” Cinder agrees. “Ai, could you point us to Luna?”

“Affirmative. She’s in her personal chambers, enjoying some time with Connie.”

“Tell them we’re coming… It’s our final day.” Looru says gently.

Ai is silent for a second. “Confirmed. I find it surprising that you are giving up your immortality.”

“Yes, well… immortality is overrated.” Cinder says softly.

“Mm.” Looru agrees. “It’s not right to live forever. Everyone has to pass on at some point. There’s some people I want to see again.”

“Like Light and Springer?” Cinder supplies gently.

Looru bows her head, sadly, her smile waning. “Especially Light.”

Cinder pauses, wrapping Looru in a hug. “They gave us grandkids, and made a legacy. Springer’s technological advancements are still being used and improved on to this day.”

“I know…” Looru sniffles softly. “I just… wish we didn’t need to bury them. We should have gone first…”

“I know, Looru. I know.” Cinder rocks Looru softly. “But still, they lived to be around 500. And only looked around 60. They couldn’t fully remove their agelessness.”

Looru nods silently, holding Cinder tight.

Cinder pets Looru’s back as she continues, “Plus our other children are still around. Mitchell and Handy are opening orphanages across the universe, using Luna’s resources to feed and educate. And their children are off on their own escapades.”

Looru can’t help a chuckle, sniffling softly. “Yeah… I’m afraid of the gremlins Mitchell released on the world…”

“As am I.” Cinder smiles softly. “Jolt’s still recording albums, and performing concerts around the universe. Remember the hiatus he took to raise a family with Miru? People were saying he’d never perform again.”

Looru looks up at Cinder with a watery smile. “Mm. They raised a bunch of little bundles of energy.”

“I’m not really sure what the triplets are up to…” Cinder muses. “But they’re probably excelling.”

“I’m glad.” Looru nods, lifting her glasses and rubbing her eyes to clear her tears.

“And Saeko… I know she’s out there, proving how strong she is. I hope that Ronnie boy kept up with her.” Cinder muses.

Looru smiles softly and pulls away, taking Cinder’s hands in hers. “I’m sure they’re fine. But just to make sure…”

Cinder nods and starts walking hand in hand with Looru, soon arriving at Luna’s personal home.

After being let inside by Ai, the two wandered around until they found Luna’s room, and Cinder knocked on the door.

“It’s open.” Luna calls.

Cinder lets herself and Looru in. “I hope you’re clothed.” Cinder comments.

In fact Luna was. She was a red hedgehog with black highlights, long flowing quills down her back, and red pupils. She was wearing a black dress, and Connie was in a similar dress, Luna working on Connie’s hair.

Connie, a female brown lynx with black hair and roboticized red eyes with black sclera, spots the two, and waves. “Well hello. What’s the Goddess of Destruction and her Angel doing here?”

“I would think you know. Considering you’re dressing for the occasion.” Cinder smiles softly.

“I still can’t believe this is happening.” Connie shakes her head. “I figured you three would outlive all of us.”

“That was the plan, once upon a time.” Cinder shrugs. “But… immortality doesn’t suit me. There’s no challenge when death isn’t hanging over your head.”

“I can agree to that.” Connie amends. “So you’re ready to follow through with this.”

“We are.” Looru steps forward with determination. “Call everyone. We’re saying our final goodbyes.”

Luna finishes with Connie’s hair, bending down and kissing her wife’s cheek before straightening. “Well then, let’s not delay things any more. Ai, call everyone.”

“Affirmative.” Ai starts sending out calls, holographic screens appearing from thin air and surrounding them.

Soon, faces start popping up on the screens.

“I’ll keep this brief, if we delay too long then our plan will fail.” Cinder states before anyone can say anything. “We will miss you all dearly. We hope to see you all on the other side, when your times allow.”

Looru nods, moving next to Cinder and pulling her close. “Hm. Make us proud, okay?”

One of the faces, a black hedgehog male with orange highlights, frowns. “Wait, where’s Dad?”

Cinder and Looru look at each other before looking to Luna.

Luna shakes her head. “No change in his condition.”

“Sorry Mitchell. I’m sure he’d want to say goodbye to everyone…” Looru tries to explain.

“No, it’s okay.” Mitchell waves his hand softly. “...Make it showy, okay?”

Cinder smiles softly. “Ai will send the footage after we’re gone.”

The people nod, all saying goodbye to the pair, logging off one at a time, until only once face is left. This man was an elder cat, his grey fur whitening around his Gandalf-length beard.

“You’ve come a long way, Cinder.” The cat says, his voice still full of life.

“So have you, Smoke. Even without agelessness, you’ve aged well.” Looru pipes in.

“You still look old as hell though.” Cinder smiles softly.

Smoke can’t help a chuckle. “The beard and cloak definitely hide the scars. Still, I can’t believe I’m outliving you.”

“Enjoy it while you can. You’ll be dragged after us soon enough.” Cinder smirks.

Smoke shakes his head with a chuckle. “I still have much to do. I’ll have to keep you waiting.”

“As always.” Cinder’s expression softens. “Thank you, Smoke. For everything you did to put me down this path. If I never met you… none of this would have happened.”

“You would have died at a much younger age, I can say that much.” Smoke agrees. “I’m glad you finally found your path. Your grandfather would be proud.”

“I only hope I did enough good to see him again.” Cinder says quietly.

Looru frowns at Cinder, shaking her gently. “Hey, I know you did. I know it!”

Cinder glances and smiles at Looru. “Thank you, Looru.”

Looru nods with a smile and kisses her gently.

Cinder turns back to Smoke. “Be sure to show up for the reading of our wills. I left something for you.”

“Well I can’t turn that down.” Smoke chuckles before turning solemn. “Take care, Cinder. Take care, Little Bit.”

“You too, Smoke. Thanks for teaching me.” Looru smiles gently.

“It was my pleasure.” Smoke bows before cutting his connection too.

Cinder and Looru turn to Luna, who immediately hugs them.

“Do you really need to go?” Luna whimpers. “I… can’t lose more family…”

“If we don’t do this now, Midnight will never be able to join us.” Cinder says solemnly. “With the last of my godly powers, I will make sure he comes with us.”

Luna sniffles softly, nuzzling them softly, before Connie gently pulls her away, Luna turning and clinging to Connie with a whine.

“Until our next meeting.” Connie nods to the two.

Looru and Cinder nod, before Cinder turns to the door. “Ai, set up the arena. Don’t hold back on defenses. We’re going to be loud.”

“Affirmative. Shall I… release him?” Ai asks with uncertainty.

“Not yet. Once the arena is ready, have him escorted there. We will meet him… and once we’re ready, release him.” Cinder says quietly.

“Affirmative. Shall I inform Mark and Rave?”

“...Yeah. We should say goodbye to them too… They were a part of our journey too.” Looru nods.

“Then they will meet you in transit. I have informed them now.”

“Thank you Ai.” Cinder reaches into her cleavage, pulling out the sack of DMC drones. “Here’s your drones. They were useful.”

The sack dissolved into thin air. “Thank you. And farewell.”

“Farewell.” The two turn, taking each other’s hand as they walk out, and down to the transportation rails.

A short stop later, they arrive at a massive coliseum, Looru studying it with wonder.

“A perfect spot.” Cinder smiles. “I couldn’t ask for a better spot.”

“I could.” Looru says softly, making Cinder look over in curiosity. “...Our home. In the training room. It would have made the perfect spot.”

“I suppose it would.” Cinder nods slowly. “But Midnight gave Ai the secret to recreating it. We can change the coliseum if we desire.”

“If necessary, the sight of the mansion should help bring Midnight back.” A black hedgehog with red highlights and crimson pupils walks over. His quills are rather messy, a bunch of tiny quills sticking all over, though some effort has been made to bunch them into the standard star pattern male hedgehogs are known for. He wears pressed black jeans, a red T shirt, and a white lab coat over it, wearing a scholar’s cap on his head and spectacles perched on the bridge of his nose.

“Mark!” Looru smiles happily.

“Smart.” Cinder nods politely. “Glad you could make it.”

Mark, or Smart as Cinder called him, sobers. “It’s the least I could do for him. You two mean the world to him. I need to make sure you succeed.”

“Well with your knowledge of Midnight, it shouldn’t be too difficult.” Looru smiles. She yelps in surprise as suddenly her breasts are grabbed from behind, and groped liberally.

“Glad I came to feel up my two favorite girls one last time!” Another hedgehog, identical to Mark except wearing a devil-horned headband instead of a scholar’s cap and spectacles and a red muscle shirt with torn blue jeans, smirks as he warps suddenly up to Cinder, slipping his hands into her top and groping her breasts directly.

Cinder twitches in annoyance, though takes a deep breath to compose herself before ramming a fist into the man’s forehead, slamming him into the dirt. “Crazy. I was wondering where you went.”

“Hi Raze.” Looru giggles after recovering.

Raze, or Crazy, gets up energetically. “You think we can squeeze in a session before you go? I gotta have one final round for the road!”

Cinder shakes her head amusedly. “Only if you help.”

“Deal!” Raze cheers.

Cinder nods and takes Looru’s hand. “Well then… let’s do this.”

“Mm.” Looru agrees, and the quartet walks into the coliseum.

They soon enter the arena, a dirt gladiatorial pit with stands for spectacle. And in the middle is a cryogenic pod, a hedgehog that looks exactly like Mark and Raze cryogenically frozen inside, sitting in a wheelchair and hooked up to a machine that covers his head. He wears a red and black jumpsuit, empty holsters all over his body where weapons once were.

Cinder and Looru both hesitate at the sight.

“I hate seeing him like this…” Looru whimpers softly.

“Only a little bit longer.” Cinder promises, holding Looru close. She turns to Mark. “Smart… explain his condition to me. One more time.”

Mark nods seriously. “Midnight is an Ultimate Lifeform. He was designed to be a bodyguard to Maria, and the rest of the Ultimate Lifeforms. With that design, he was given an unmatched healing factor and uploaded with information in regards to all known forms of combat and weaponry. When his pod malfunctioned, he was awoken prematurely, giving him brain damage-”

“Which manifested itself into Smart and I!” Raze interrupts cheerfully. “And turning him into the equivalent of a Mobian Deadpool!”

“He is unkillable.” Mark continues like he wasn’t interrupted.

Looru nods. “We know all that. Though I’m not entirely clear on what a Deadpool is…”

“Put basically, a mercenary given a healing factor so intense that he couldn’t be killed. He’s a comic book character, with a penchant of talking to the readers of his comic. This phenomenon, of knowing he was part of some larger omniverse, is known as breaking the fourth wall. Deadpool knew he was a comic book character, and used that knowledge to alter his stories. He could make references to things and people not part of his universe, such as characters from rival comic books, or even actors that portray himself and his friends.” Raze explains.

“Midnight took that to a literal extreme. He is connected to every version of Midnight in the Omniverse. As long as something of him is written, he knows about it. And that’s where his condition lies.” Mark states.

Raze sobers a little. “Midnight worked hard with us to remove us from his head, to give us actual lives and free will. We’re no longer commentators of his life. Not in this future timeline story at least.”

Mark looks at Raze with a knowing look. “And without us, his mind couldn’t handle the massive influx of information coming from the omniverse. Our voices helped keep him tethered to this world, and shielded him from all that information coming at once. That, combined with all the knowledge he was still getting from this world… retaining all that knowledge is impossible. The name of loved ones, children, then grandchildren, then great grandchildren…”

“Until finally, his mind simply broke down.” Cinder says quietly. “Looru and I were away, doing God of Destruction business. It took Luna literally tracking us down to tell us what happened.”

Looru bows her head at the memory, a pained expression on her face. “He never said a word about it to us… he always looked so serene when we were with him. We were his world… and we left when he needed us most.” She couldn’t help it, she slowly collapsed to her knees and started to weep.

Cinder silently sits next to Looru, rubbing her back comfortingly.

“Indeed… I was able to diagnose his condition. With Ai’s help, our only solution was to put him to sleep. The helmet sheltered Midnight’s mind from the onslaught of information the other Midnights. At least, in theory. That was centuries ago.” Mark murmurs.

“Imagine, forced into a slumber with all that info still flowing into him. Unable to do a thing, but receive it like a radio.” Raze looked truly haunted.

Cinder nods softly. “...That’s why I aimed for retirement. I couldn’t bear to let Midnight go through this by himself. Once I had our replacements, I worked tirelessly to finally clear my docket, train our replacements… and say goodbye to the world we called home.” Her expression turns sharp. “And now… it’s time to end Midnight’s suffering.”

Looru sniffles, wiping her teary eyes. “M-mm… we’ll save Midnight from his mind. We will do as Light and Springer has done before us… we will die. Together.”

Cinder wiped a single tear from her eye before becoming resolute. “Okay, Smart. Tell us one more time. How do we successfully kill someone who can’t die?”

Mark bows his head. “Using normal means, you can’t. You can stop the healing factor, but the person will always come back eventually. That’s why Twilight, Midnight’s opposite from the Antiverse, was so hard to put down.”

“But there is, one way. Only one way to kill someone who can heal anything.” Raze utters.

“You destroy him. You disintegrate every last cell, down to the atom. Nothing can be allowed to remain.” Mark murmurs. “It’s an uphill battle. His body will regenerate the second it senses it’s in danger. He doesn’t need food, water, air, or Chaos energy to sustain his healing factor. He truly defies physics. The ability to perform such a feat, to kill Midnight… it’s nearly impossible.”

“But that’s why it took so long to get to this point.” Cinder nods softly. “It took all the resources at our disposal to track down every last atom of Midnight. Smoke and Ai confirmed it. Every loose hair, every cell sample… Midnight himself is all that’s left of him. We simply need to eradicate him.” The words filled her with sadness. The man she and Looru loved… and they had to destroy him down to his very last atom. No mere mortal could ever follow through with such an insane ploy. But… she and Looru were currently not mortals. They were essentially demigods. This was why she was so insistent that this happened while they had this power. This would be their last and only opportunity.

Mark nods softly, adjusting his spectacles and composing himself. “I have no more knowledge to pass to you. I can only wish you luck.”

Cinder nods silently, praying to whatever higher deity would listen to give them this blessing, to let their suffering husband be allowed to be absolved of his tortured existence.

Raze grumbles. “Man, my mood is spoiled… Good luck you two. I’ll miss you.”

Looru slowly stands, forcing a smile to Raze. “Mm… it was nice to see you, Crazy. You too, Smart. We’ll miss you two.”

The two hedgehog males nod and warp to the stands to watch.

Cinder takes a long, slow, deep breath to center herself… before opening her eyes. “Looru… are you ready for this? If we fail…”

Looru gets a hold of herself, focusing as she grabs her staff in both hands. “We won’t fail, Cinder. This will be successful.”

Cinder can’t help but smile at Looru’s determination. “Keep your distance until the final blow. Keep us healed up. This will be a difficult fight.” She pauses, reflecting a little. This was it. This was her final battle. She had to admit, she never thought this would be how it ended. She always thought she’d die in a battle, where her opponent was a truly worthy opponent. That she would be given a warrior’s death.

Her heart begins pumping, her fists clenching as a fire starts in her eyes. “I don’t care how immortal you are, my loving husband. I swear to you, in this final fight of ours… I will win, completely and utterly. And finally, my goal will be complete. I will finally be… the strongest in the universe.”

Looru is also becoming pumped with these words, nodding with stern determination. “Hm, we will win. We will prove our strength, once and for all!”

Cinder takes one more breath, before taking her fighting stance. “...Ai. Release Midnight.”

Ai obeys, the pod containing Midnight shutting down before disappearing as if it were a hologram.

Midnight simply sits in his wheelchair, his helmet soon disappearing, his eyes blank and unfocused.

Cinder wavers a little. She had been expecting some reaction, any reaction. This… this was pitiful. “...Ai, change the field to the meadow surrounding our old mansion.

“Affirmative.”

The world around them changed, into the meadow that they had lived for centuries. Where they had gone on picnic dates, and raised children and grandchildren.

Midnight didn’t react in the slightest.

Looru swallows softly, eyeing Midnight. Was Midnight truly gone? No… he couldn’t be!

Looru frowns and steps forward. “Midnight! We challenge you to a fight to the death! We know you’re in there! We won’t give up on you!”

Midnight’s ear flicks. But there’s no other reaction.

“Midnight!” Cinder barks.

Midnight’s ear flicks again, no other response.

Cinder frowns thoughtfully. “He’s receiving stimuli, but he can’t focus on us…”

“So how do we make him focus on us?” Looru whimpers.

Cinder considers… before walking over, grabbing and snapping his neck.

Looru gasps in surprise. “Cinder?!”

“He’ll be fine. You know that.” Cinder shrugs.

Midnight’s neck unsnaps, his gaze focusing a little more. His eyes swivel to look in Cinder’s direction, but he doesn’t seem to see her.

Cinder sighs sadly. “I had hoped to ease into this… but you leave me no choice, Midnight.

She brings her arms to her sides, focusing as she tenses her muscles. It’s been such a long time since she used techniques like this, usually her godly Ki was enough. But she suppresses her godly Ki, her aura flaring to life as she growls, powering up. With a shout, her hair stands on end as her breasts jump up a size, her fur turning a brilliant gold.

This catches Midnight’s attention, snapping square on Cinder.

“Alright, that’s better.” Super Cinder nods in approval, before aiming her palm at Midnight and charging a ball of energy.

Looru looks worried. “Are you sure this is a good idea…?”

“No backing out now!” Cinder shouts as she fires the orb, dashing after it and opening her assault with a spinning roundhouse.

Instantly, Midnight grabs and flips his wheelchair, standing as he uses the wheelchair to deflect the orb and catch Cinder’s kick. His eyes are focused now, full of life. “Sorry I’m late. Did you miss me?” Midnight smirks.

Cinder returns the smirk, flipping and regaining her stance. “This is it, sweetheart. No more avoiding it. Today’s the day you die.”

Midnight smirks and reaches into his hair, pulling out twin katanas. “Challenge… accepted.” He crosses his blades, sparks glinting off as he takes his stance.

Truly, now Cinder was pumped up. This was for all the marbles. Everything she had was going to be put in this fight. No more pride, no more saying that Midnight had an edge on her. She was his superior, a Goddess of Destruction. Her divine power would surely smite this tortured mortal.

No more holding back.

Cinder focused and gritted her teeth, her aura flaring once more as the gold drained from her fur, now a holy white. Then, it sparked and turned blue. Then, she reigned it in, her fur color and proportions reverting to normal as an ethereal blue aura surrounded her. And when she opened her eyes, they were a shining silver.

“Ultra Instinct, huh? Trying to end this quickly?” Midnight twirls his katanas, his quills quivering in excitement.

“I’m not trying. I will end this.” Cinder says calmly, stalking towards Midnight.

“Well then come at me!” Midnight shouts, charging in and starting his assault, his blades slashing at speeds too fast to comprehend. But Cinder dodged all of them effortlessly, hurling a knee into Midnight’s stomach.

Midnight grunts and stumbles back, but recovers quicker than a normal person would, going in for a Spin Attack with his blades. Once again Cinder weaved around all the attacks before punting Midnight like a soccer ball across the field.

“Rude!” Midnight uncurls, stabbing a sword into the ground to stop his backwards momentum, sliding to a stop.

Cinder is on him in an instant, Midnight’s eyes widening in surprise as he’s attacked on all sides by a flurry of well-aimed blows. He couldn’t block any of them, Cinder could see his openings before he could close them.

Midnight hits a wall with a grunt, his katanas clattering to the ground. “Ow.” He casually wipes blood from his nose. “Enjoying yourself?”

“No.” Cinder says simply. “I know you’re holding back.”

Midnight blinks before chuckling. “What makes you say that?”

“You haven’t transformed yet. All Chaos-powered hedgehogs can transform with Chaos Emeralds, and I know you’ve stored up fake Chaos Emeralds in case you were ever backed into a wall.” Cinder tuts. “From what Shadow told me, it’s possible for you to transform up to Hyper.”

Midnight stares in disbelief, before laughing. “Alright… you got me.” He smirks as he pulls himself from the wall, brushing himself off. “Ask yourself this though… are you sure you want to fight me when I have that much- ERK!”

He’s cut off when Cinder once again rams her fist into his gut. “This is our last battle, Midnight. You do this, or you don’t.” She says steadily.

Midnight’s eyes widen. Even in their sparring sessions, Cinder was never this focused on his defeat. He was always a wall that she admitted she likely would never topple. This… this was different. This was serious. She wanted him at his limit. She was showing hers; she would never forgive him if he didn’t do the same.

Midnight stumbles back, rubbing his gut as he catches his breath. “...Fine. But I warned you.”

“That you did.” Cinder remarks cattily, riling him up.

Midnight focuses, seven Chaos Emeralds appearing around him.

“Now Looru!” Cinder barks.

Looru nods and raises her hands, focusing. While Cinder had Ki and Midnight had Chaos, she had studied the arcane ways of magic with Smoke. Looking back on it, she was glad one of the first things she learned was alchemy.

She quickly focuses on the fake Chaos Emeralds, transforming them into Anarchy Beryl, the Antiverse equivalent of Chaos Emeralds.

Midnight blinks and frowns. “...Clever girls.” unable to stop his transformation, he transforms using the Anarchy Beryl into Super Midnight. He looks himself over. “Well… Twilight was right, it certainly feels more powerful. But I know what you’re after now. I won’t transform into Hyper Midnight now. I refuse.”

“Makes no difference to me.” Cinder cracks her knuckles, before ramming her fist across Midnight’s jaw, sending him flying.

Midnight grunts and rubs his jaw, more surprised that he felt the impact than the attack actually hurting. He stops his flight midair, floating. “You’re not the only one who can fly now.”

“You say that like it’s an advantage.” Cinder suddenly warps up to him, hurling another punch. She’s startled when Midnight actually catches the attack. “What…?”

“You may move with instinct now… but I’m faster than thought now.” Midnight boasts, hurling a kick at her.

Cinder easily dodges, frowning. She had expected to be the top dog throughout the entire fight… this will be much more difficult now. She needs to pressure him into Hyper form, or he could outlast her.

The two start their deadly dance, hurling attack after attack, though both are unable to land a hit, both able to react so fast. Looru watches all this worriedly, but she has faith in Cinder. There wasn’t much she could do at this moment… except…

She smiles and looks at her staff. She taps the ground once, freezing time altogether. Then she taps the ground again, rewinding time by ten seconds. Not much time, but enough. Time resumes when Midnight is about to transform with the Anarchy Beryl, before Looru shoots her hands out and focuses hard. The Anarchy Beryls shine, before growing in size until they’re the size of Super Emeralds as Midnight transforms.

Midnight’s fur shines brightly, turning white with a rainbow aura. He looks at himself with concern, flexing his hands. “Well this is unexpected… I’ll need to finish this quickly.” He’s suddenly on Cinder, hurling a punch.

Cinder gasps as she automatically dodges it, the force of the blow nicking her robes as she spins out of danger. “So fast…!”

“Well I am… Hyper.” Midnight chuckles before he’s on her again, attacking with a flurry of blows.

Cinder grits her teeth as she’s put on the defensive, dodging and deflecting everything barely, Midnight scoring tons of tiny slashes on her robes.

Looru watches worriedly, hoping Cinder didn’t get seriously hurt. Sure, Looru could heal Cinder, but she only had a finite amount of life energy to give Cinder.

Cinder hisses as she takes a hit to the sternum, jumping back, she tenses when she hears a tear, looking down to see her bare bouncing breasts. She sighs softly, more annoyed than anything. “Even after all this… this is what you’re after?”

Midnight winks, tossing Cinder’s top aside and admiring her massive mammaries. “If this is our last fight, I want to remember it.”

Cinder smiles softly. “Well I certainly want you to remember it…” She suddenly surges in, readying a punch.

Midnight instinctively raises a hand to deflect, only to get a faceful of boobage instead. He yelps in surprise, genuinely not expecting Cinder to press her… advantages like this.

“You always told me to use my body as a distraction.” Cinder whispers coyly in his ear. Then she savagely rams a knee into Midnight’s gut before kicking him away, breasts bouncing with the movements.

Midnight grunts as he skips like a rock, twirling and landing on his feet as he smirks. “That I did.” He charges in again, ready to attack.

“Now Looru.” Cinder states, not moving.

Looru nods and raises her hands, making twisting motions.

Midnight blinks, before jerking in surprise as his inhibitor rings unlock, and launch off his wrists and ankles, and he shouts automatically, turning into Hyper Chaos Midnight.

Midnight looks horrified, his rainbow aura replaced with red. “Are you two insane?!”

“No more insane than you.” Cinder closes the distance, initiating her own flurry of blows that ends with a huge ball of energy.

Midnight’s quills flare as he bares his fangs. “Fine, you want my full power? HAVE YOUR FILL!!!”

He suddenly grabs Cinder by her neck, ramming her into the ground. Cinder gasps in surprise, the wind knocked out of her as Midnight’s aura recedes into his body.

“Chaos…” Midnight growls, his body sparking with electricity.

Cinder’s eyes go wide, and she crosses her arms over her body and tightens her muscles, creating a large aura of Ki.

Looru yelps and waves her wand to create a shield bubble around her.

Both just barely succeed in time as Midnight roars, “BLAST!!!”

Just like that, the world around them is covered in bright light. But it’s not like, it’s search, destructive Chaos Energy.

Even with her full defenses up, Cinder howls in pain as the maximum power Chaos surge sears her entire body, her clothes disintegrating in seconds.

As soon as the blast came out… it was over. Midnight staggers backwards, reverting to normal, his eyes blanked out. He was out cold.

Cinder pants, dropping her arms. Her Ultra Instinct fades as well, leaving her in normal form as she passes out as well.

Looru pants as she drops her shield, tired but unharmed. Her eyes widen at the two, and hurries over. She winces at how singed Cinder looks, and hesitates. Can she go through with this…?

“Looru…”

Looru is snapped out of her thoughts, looking down at Cinder as she looks tiredly at Looru. “This… is it… now or never… our final shot.”

Looru swallows, her resolve returning. She drops to her knees, grabbing both Cinder and Midnight’s hands. She bows her head, resigning herself to her final act. “...I hope I see you two again. I love you both, so much.”

Cinder nods weakly, closing her eyes. “I hope to see you two as well… I love you, Looru. And I love you, Midnight.”

Midnight is unable to respond, out cold. But his body slowly starts regenerating.

“NOW!!!” Cinder barks.

Looru winces before activating her healing aura to beyond her maximum, screaming in agony as she rips both Midnight’s life energy as well as her own. Every last drop she can squeeze, every reserve of energy inside her own and Midnight’s bodies, she took everything they had… and poured them into Cinder.

Cinder surges to life, and raises above her head a giant ominous purple and black orb of pure, destructive energy. She looks to Looru collapsed at her feet, lifeless. Even in death, Looru had a calm, happy expression. It broke Cinder’s heart.

“Don’t cry now, Cinder. Join me.” Looru’s voice seemed to speak to her. “Bring Midnight home.”

For the first time in forever, Cinder allowed the tears to flow. She choked back a sob, wishing it didn’t need to be like this.

“Cin...der…”

Cinder sniffles, looking down.

The shrivelled body of Midnight has one eye open at her. His gaze was dim, but his features are accepting. He didn’t have the energy to speak, but his eyes begged, “Please… I can’t live without you two… do it. Let me be with you two… forever. Don’t leave me…”

Cinder bows her head, closing her eyes. In an instant, she opens them again, uttering one simple word. “Hakai.”

With that one simple word, the orb activated, tearing everything around the two asunder. Looru’s body cracked like glass, before scattering like ash. Cinder let go of the orb as her body became mortal once more, pouring all of her energy, both mortal and godly into the orb. Then, she dropped on top of Midnight, no energy to spare as she embraced Midnight, closing her eyes as the ball consumed them, erasing them from the mortal realm.

In those final moments, Midnight closed his eyes as well, kissing Cinder… and he could feel the spirit of Looru, holding them both tight as they disappeared into the orb of pure destruction.

…

Raze and Mark wince as the Hakai devastates the arena. Even with all the safeguards Ai put in place, the orb more or less swallows the entire fighting area, sticking around for a good long while. At last, the orb implodes on itself, the protective shield around the stadium shattering. Immediately, the two jump into the arena, special scanners in their hands as Ai scans the entire area from above.

“...I’m not detecting any trace of Midnight.” Raze finally says.

“Scan complete. There are zero atoms of Midnight remaining.” Ai announces.

Mark shudders, which turns into a chuckle, then a laugh, before uproarious laughter. “I can’t believe it… those maniacs pulled it off! They managed to kill Midnight!”

Raze can’t help a smile. “I’ll bet that’s going in your notes.”

“Oh, most definitely.” Mark agrees, already writing things down in his notepad.

Raze shakes his head in amusement before looking up. “So did you catch all that, Ai?”

“Affirmative.”

“Good… then our work here is done.” Raze smiles and turns around, scratching his ear. “...I’ll really miss them. You know?”

“Especially Looru and Cinder’s tits.” Mark elbows Raze teasingly.

Raze rubs his side with a smirk. “Especially their tits.”

“I will report this video to Luna… best of luck with your endeavors.” Ai says, before disappearing.

The two hedgehogs look up at the sky for a moment, reminiscing. “You think they made it? Cinder and Midnight?” Raze asks softly.

“...I think they did.” Mark nods. “Just a feeling.”

…

Midnight awoke with a jolt, sitting up and looking around. By his side, Cinder looks just as bewildered. “Did we… die?” Cinder finally questions.

Midnight shrugs, petting the ground and pausing, scooping up fog and letting it fall. They were laying on clouds. “...Starting to lean towards yes.”

“Midnight! Cinder!”

Both look up to see Looru, standing peacefully a few feet away. She was naked, smiling softly. There was no need for material possessions in the afterlife after all. She seemed… relieved to see them. “Come on… let’s not keep everyone waiting, okay?”

“Everyone?” Cinder gets up, noting she too is naked. She didn’t feel shame or annoyance. This time, it felt… right.

Midnight also stands, noting he was also naked. Not even his inhibitor rings. “This is a weird feeling.” He flexes his hands.

Cinder nods, smiling softly as she takes his hand. “You heard her. Let’s not keep everyone waiting… I suppose.”

Midnight nods, squeezing her hand, and starting to walk towards Looru. They soon stop however.

Looru was on the other side of a clear wall, a membrane or something.

Midnight winces, he knew this barrier all too well… it was the barrier of Death. He had never been able to pass through before… he couldn’t help but feel he would be unable to pass.

Cinder studies the wall with worry, having some reservations herself. Still, she bravely steps towards it… and easily passes through. She sighs with relief, turning as Looru comes over and hugs her tight. The two kiss before pulling away, taking each other’s hand and turning to Midnight hopefully.

Midnight swallows. Moment of truth time… He steps forward, reaching out as he closes his eyes in anticipation… and feels nothing. Then… the warm embrace of his wives.

His eyes open, a mixture of joy and relief on his face. He looks back, the barrier no longer preventing him from joining the other side… he was truly dead. He could finally rest. He turns back, hugging his wives and starting to weep tears of joy.

Looru smiles knowingly, petting his head gently. “It’s okay. We’re all here now. And now for the true test.”

Cinder blinks. “That… wasn’t the test?”

“Oh no.” Looru giggles softly. “Now we need to be judged for all our sins… didn’t you read the Bible?”

Cinder shrugs. She never really believed in all that religion stuff.

Midnight nods slowly. “Right… I guess this is truly it.” He hugs his wives tighter. “...Looru, I hope you won’t be sad with the decision.”

Looru’s smile wanes. “I can’t say I’ll be happy if you two… well…”

“It would be the right decision. We’re horrible people.” Cinder says quietly.

Looru frowns and swats Cinder’s wrist gently. “No, you’re not! Horrible people don’t regret their actions! You’re a good person, Cinder!”

“We’ll see, won’t we?” Cinder can’t help a soft smile.

“Mm.”” Looru nods with determination, before taking their hands and starting to walk up a staircase leading to more clouds, bathed in golden sunshine.

Cinder and Midnight allow Looru to lead them, feeling apprehensive. Would they be held back, parted from Looru for all eternity?

They soon arrive at a pair of large golden gates, a man behind a comfy desk waiting for them.

“Greetings, weary souls. I am Saint Peter.” The man greets with a calm smile. “Now, you will be judged for your sins.”

Cinder and Midnight bow their heads. This was it, no turning back.

“Looru Aurora Da Droid. You have committed very few sins. The most damning being in a polygamous relationship with these two.” St Peter motions to Cinder and Midnight.

Looru winces, but she always knew that would stand out. “M-mm…”

St. Peter’s smile returns. “But love is love, in the eyes of the Lord. You are absolved of your sins, and allowed into Heaven.”

Looru perks, smiling with relief.

Saint Peter then turns to Cinder. ‘Cinder Shorehaven Da Droid.” His tone grows harsh, his face stern. “You have slaughtered thousands. You have broken many people. Your very soul is stained with the blood of your victims.”

Cinder bows, pained. Still, she remains silent, awaiting her judgement.

“You have also served time as a Goddess of Destruction, turning your talents of killing into a profession.” St. Peter turns his page as he keeps reading.

Cinder nods silently, preparing herself for the inevitable.

“But as Looru said, you are remorseful of your actions. You regret what you have done, and lived with it every single day. You are absolved of your sins. You are forgiven.”

Cinder’s eyes shoot open wide, straightening. “A-are you certain?”

“I am. Your overwhelming love is testament enough. You have changed. Now join the afterlife, without guilt.” St Peter smiles gently.

Cinder swallows, shakily reaching out to Looru before her legs collapse out from under her.

Looru squeaks, reaching out to catch Cinder. Now in the arms of her lover, Cinder can’t help but start crying, true tears of relief and joy. She never saw this outcome coming… she was overwhelmed…

Midnight smiles at the two softly, before stepping up and looking at St Peter. “And me?”

“Straight to Hell, very bottom. No question.” Saint Peter says without any hesitation.

Midnight freezes, his eyes wide. “...Huh?”

Cinder and Looru also look over in shock. “What?!”

“I’m kidding!” St Peter smiles, chuckling. “You only ever killed truly detestable people. Like a soldier in the line of duty, you believe every life you took was still sacred, but could not be allowed to continue their twisted path. Your sins are absolved. You are forgiven.”

Midnight sinks to his knees, relieved. “...Don’t scare me like that!”

“Oh come on. I thought you could take a joke.” St Peter smiles coyly.

“Not when my soul is on the brink of eternal damnation.” Midnight sweats.

“I’m sorry. But you three are now sinless. You may pass through, and reunite with your loved ones.” St Peter smiles and motions to the gates behind him, which open wide for them.

The three look at each other, both curious and relieved. They go, hand in hand, to the pearly gates, walking through the threshold into Heaven.

Once on the other side, they look around curiously, wondering who exactly was waiting for them.

“Mom! Mother! Dad!”

They turn in surprise, to see Light in her prime smiling at them. She seems truly surprised to see Midnight, running up and hugging them. “...I was wondering when you all would show up.”

“Apologies, little one. This one is quite hard to kill.” Cinder thumps Midnight on the chest.

Midnight chuckles softly, rubbing his chest. “What can I say? I die hard.”

“Well Springer is off somewhere, messing with machines. I swear, even in the afterlife he’s still tinkering.” Light tuts. “But I doubt he’ll care too much until his parents show up.”

“It’s fine.” Midnight shrugs.

“Well well… if it isn’t young Waverider.”

Cinder freezes, eyes going wide. She knew that voice. “...Grandsire?” She slowly turns to see her grandfather standing, waiting for her. He was also in his prime smiling lovingly at Cinder. She can’t help it, dashing forward to hug him, tears in her eyes. “I’m so sorry I wasn’t there…!”

“It’s alright.” He assures her, petting her back gently. “Your journey was a thorny one, but now you can rest. We have all the time in the world to catch up. You can even meet your parents.”

She sniffles, rubbing her nose. “They’re here too?”

“Of course. And they’re excited to see how much you’ve grown.” He smiles gently, leading her away.

Cinder hesitates, looking back to Midnight and Looru.

They smile softly, and motion for her to go ahead.

With a look of thanks, Cinder follows her Grandsire deeper into Heaven.

Midnight smiles softly at Light, before turning to Looru. “I’m sure your parents are here somewhere too.”

Looru’s eyes widen. “...You’re right! I need to see them!” She hurries off, not really sure where she’s going.

Midnight chuckles softly, taking Light’s hand. “So, anything fun to do in Heaven?”

“Oh… I’m sure you’ll find some way to entertain yourself. Eternity is forever, you know.” Light smiles gently, as she leads her father into Heaven.

Midnight looks back towards the pearly gates, for one brief instant thinking about all the people they’ve left behind. “...They’ll be here, soon enough.” He smiles softly to himself.

“Hm? Did you say something?” Light pauses, looking to Midnight.

“Oh, nothing. Nothing at all.” Midnight smiles at her, before striding forward into his new, peaceful… immortal life.
